The Greenwich Club, located in lovely East Greenwich Rhode Island, is a private family swim and social club open to all. The club offers relaxation in the summer months for all ages, with off-season activities and club rental options, all in a friendly atmosphere. Our club house resides in the stately 19th century renovated mansion set beside three pools of varying sizes.
The Greenwich Club has its origins in a men's social club which began in the 1930's. Three decades later, the Club was restructured into a family pool association. In 1963, the historic Farrington mansion was renovated, the carriage house converted to a bathhouse and in July of that year, the Greenwich Club began operation as a family swim and social club.
Over the years renovation programs have been completed, making the Greenwich Club the finest facility of its kind in Rhode Island, while retaining the charm of the stately 19th century mansion.
The Facilities:
Main Pool:
82 1/2' x 36' with a 30' x 33' diving "L" separate from the swim area. Depth ranges from 3' to 12'. A yellow tube slide (seen below) for our young guests.
Medium Pool:
Kiddie Pool:
Separated from the main swim area, it is totally enclosed. The 30' x 30' pool is safe for toddlers and non-swimmers under parental or responsible supervision.
The Grounds:
Stately old trees provide shade in our picnic and barbeque pit area. Non- slip aprons surround all pool areas. Umbrella tables and chairs are located on the adult sundeck and poolside for members' use. A children's playground area is easily visible from pool and deck areas.
For your Safety and Comfort:
A full-time club manager with part-time staff is available to assist you.
Children of grade school age must be accompanied by parents or responsible adults and may not be left unattended at the club.
Fully qualified, certified lifeguards are on duty at all times the pool is officially open. The first 20 minutes of each pool hour is "adult swim" period, when children must vacate the pool.

Operating Period:
Although open all year round, The Greenwich Club is principally a seasonal, summer club. The Board of Governors does offer the facilities of the clubhouse for off-season social-events and rentals throughout the year. See Club Rental for more information. The official season extends from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. Pool hours are 10:00 am to 8:00 pm. See Club Hours for a complete list of pool and clubhouse days & hours.
