RULES AND REGULATIONS

Summer of 2017

 

DEFINITIONS

 

For purposes of these rules and regulations, the following definitions shall apply:

 

MEMBER = an active member is defined as an adult who is duly elected to membership and is in good standing

FAMILY = household including member or members with unmarried children

HOUSE = the enclosed building and structures of the Club exclusive of the pump house unless otherwise specified

POOL AREA = main pool, middle pool and pool aprons

POOL APRON = first eight (8) feet of all pool perimeters

KIDDY WATER PARK AREA = play fountain and its enclosure

PLAYSCAPE AREA = Playground and wood chipped area

GROUNDS = those outdoor areas of the Club which are not considered part of any pool area or fountain

ADULT = any person 18 years of age or older

CERTIFIED SWIMMER = a person who has passed the following test under the supervision of a Club lifeguard or passed Level 3 of the Club’s swim lessons is permitted to use the main pool beyond the 4 ½ foot marker which is designated by rope (this requirement includes the diving area and use of the diving board): 

     1. Must swim two widths of the pool non-stop

GUEST= a day-visitor of a member

HOUSE GUEST = a short-term visitor residing in a member’s home

PATIO/DECK GUEST = a visitor brought to the Club with a member for a club social function, drinks or meals, with no access to enter the main pool or middle pool areas.

MEMBERS AND THEIR GUESTS ARE EXPECTED TO OBSERVE THE RULES Of THE CLUB

CLUB RULES AND REGULATIONS

  1. Persons eligible to enter the Club:

    1. Any member. However, all children under 14 years of age must be accompanied by an adult throughout the hours of operation.

    2. Guests must be accompanied and met by a member at the gate and remain with them during their visit.

  2. All members and their guests must enter the Club through the gate next to the bathhouse and sign in (initial) on the        sheets provided.  It is against the Rules and Regulations to enter through the front door, especially with guests.  The first and last name of each guest must be written in the book provided along with the member sponsor's name.

  3. Guests:

    1. Guest fees are $8.00 per guest Monday through Thursday and $10.00 per guest per day on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays (Memorial Day, 4th of July, Victory Day and Labor Day). 

    2. No guest fees are charged for children under 2 years of age.

    3. One ten-person guest pass card per membership per year may be purchased each season for $75.00.  Guest cards may only be purchased through the management.  Cards are not transferalbe and must be presented by the member at the front desk when the guest is signed in.  Please read the back of the card.  Unused guest pass cards are non-refundable and have no expiration date.  One punch per person, regardless of the time or day presented.

    4. No person may be admitted as a guest more than four (4) visits per month.
    5. Private Parties may be held on weekdays and Saturdays only.  Parties may not be reserved on holiday weekends.  They must be held in the designated awning area and reserved with the management with a $25.00 fee for each canopy reserved and completed list of guests.  Members are responsible for cleaning party area at conclusion.  The charge for each non-,member guest over 2 years of age is $7.50.  A credit card must be submitted to the Lounge prior to the party. 

    6. House guest fees are $25.00 per person for seven (7) consecutive days and must be registered with the management and residing with the member the same week.

    7. Guest privileges may be suspended at any time by the General Manager or the Manager on Duty when the safety and comfort of members becomes an issue.

  4. Guardians/Baby-sitters/Nannies/Parent-Helpers at the pool (Must be a minimum of 15 years of age):

    1. Parents must fill out a registration form and pay the $75.00 fee for all baby-sitters/nannies/parent-helpers.

    2. All non-member baby-sitters/nannies/parent-helpers are subject to the general rules. Guest fees apply when accompanying a parent.

    3. All baby-sitters must remain with the children at all times.

       

      5.  All children 14-16 years of age not accompanied by an adult must leave the Club premises by 6:00 pm.

      6.  Children 7 years old and younger must be directly supervised by a parent or guardian at all times.  Direct supervision is        characterized by "within sight."

      7.  Adult lap swim will be available on Saturdays & Sundays from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm once the regular season begins.  . Lane lines will be added for lanes 5 & 6 unless there is a make-up day for swim lessons.  The lines will be put in at the conclusion of the lessons and remain for two hours.

      8. Squirt guns or any other device that stores and shoots water is prohibited on Club grounds.

      9. Playscape area is for children 12 years and younger only.

 

 

      POOL RULES AND REGULATIONS

 

REPEATED DISREGARD OF POOL RULES WILL RESULT IN LOSS OF POOL PRIVILEGES.

 

  1. Swim at your own risk.

  2. Spitting and spouting of water and blowing the nose are prohibited in the swimming or wading pools.

  3. No eating and drinking on pool aprons or in the bathhouse.

  4. Use of tobacco products and electronic smoking devices are limited to the front porch of the clubhouse only.

  5. Running and roughhousing around the pools are strictly prohibited.

  6. Appropriate swimming attire is required in the pool.

  7. Gum chewing in the pools and on the pool aprons is prohibited.

  8. All children using the play fountain MUST be attended by an adult/guarding/baby-sitter/nanny/parent-helper responsible for such child within the confines of the enclosure. Children are not permitted to stand on or block the fountain sprays. There are no lifeguards stationed in the play area.

  9. Children over 6 years old are NOT allowed in the play fountain.

  10. No calling for help unless assistance is needed.

  11. No toys, beach balls, flotation devices or other paraphernalia allowed in the main pool (the only exception would be       designated float nights).

  12. Approved swim aides and flotation devices will be allowed in the middle pool with direct adult supervision.

  13. Toys in the kiddy area must be removed daily or they may be subject to disposal.

  14. Only persons18years of age and older are permitted in the pool during adult swimming period. Adult swim is the first twenty (20) minutes of each hour at the lifeguard’s discretion.

  15. Adult members bringing fully toilet-trained toddlers into the main pool must remain in the shallow end with their child.

  16. Children wearing swim diapers may only use the play fountain and middle pool. Only fully toilet-trained children are allowed in the main pool. No diapers or swim diapers are allowed in the main pool.

  17. Children who are not fully toilet-trained are required to wear swim diapers in the play fountain and middle pool.

  18.  Children in a diaper of any kind are not allowed in or on the edge of the main pool.
  19. Only certified swimmers are allowed beyond the 4-½ foot marker in the main pool.

  20. The diving area of the main pool is for diving board use only. Swimmers are not allowed to congregate or linger in the   section after their dive. Only certified swimmers are allowed in the diving area. One person at a time may use the diving board.  Standing on the stairs while waiting for someone to dive is prohibited.

  21.  Only one person allowed on the slide at a time in sitting position only. Standing on the stairs while waiting for someone to use the slide is prohibited.  Swimmers are not allowed to congregate or linger at the bottom of the slide.

  22.  Back flips are not allowed off the diving board or from any pool side.
  23.  Lifeguards will enforce all pool rules and regulations.

  24. Any person with an infectious and/or communicable disease shall be prohibited from utilizing the swimming and wading pool, including persons with open lesions, blisters and/or cuts or rashes.
  25. Pets and other animals are prohibited on club grounds and in the swimming or wading pools except for seeing-eye dogs accompanied by a blind person.
  26. A cleansing shower is required before entering the swimming pools or wading areas.

 

HOUSE RULES AND REGULATIONS

 

  1. The use of the clubhouse and grounds are reserved for members of the Club unless otherwise authorized by the Board of Governors or its designee.

  2. All functions conducted at the clubhouse and its grounds must be reserved on the Club calendar. Entries on the calendar are to be coordinated through the General Manager or Business Manager. No dates will be confirmed until a contract and a deposit is received.

  3. Rules relative to the number of patio guests are flexible. The intent is that no member will be inconvenienced because of patio guests. Members who entertain patio guests at the Club are expected to use good judgment.

  4. The working areas of the bar, kitchen, snack bar and mechanical areas are restricted to employees and representatives of the Club or to other specifically authorized individuals.

  5. Footwear, shirts  and coverups must be worn inside the clubhouse at all times.  Food and Beverage service is not available to those members, their children and their guest without footwear, shirts or proper coverups.

  6. There are changing benches for babies in the bathhouse.  Diapers may not be changed in any public area; they must be changed in the bathhouse on the changing tables provided.

  7. The clubhouse restrooms are reserved for adults except during dinner service.

  8. Children are allowed on the deck and in the clubhouse only when accompanied by an adult and during Club sanctioned activities.

  9. The clubhouse and deck tables are reserved for waitress/waiter served meals and beverage on Friday evenings.

  10. Children of any age are not allowed in the bar area at any time.

  11. Use of tobacco products and electronic smoking devices are not allowed inside the clubhouse and is limited to the front porch only.

  12. Any member wishing to run a tab must submit a credit card to the bartender prior to ordering, otherwise payment must be made at the time of purchase with cash.  There is a $10.00 minimum on all credit card charges.
  13. Although you may pay with  a credit card at the snack bar, NO tabs may be run at the snack bar/outside of the bar area.

 

GROUND RULES AND REGULATIONS

 

  1. The Club is NOT responsible for articles stolen or damaged while you are at the Club, grounds or parking area. The Club urges all members and guests to lock their automobiles and to see to it that their personal property is secured.

  2. Food is to be eaten only in designated areas (grassy area, under canopies/umbrellas, deck and clubhouse). No food or beverage is allowed on the pool apron being within 8 feet of the pool edge.

  3. Use of tobacco products and electronic smoking devices are limited to the front porch of the clubhouse only.

  4.  As we hold a full liquor license, alcoholic beverages may not ever be brought on the Club grounds or in the clubhouse whatsoever.
  5. In order to keep the grounds clean, neat, and presentable to the Club members, all members and their guests are held responsible for the cleaning of their own areas and disposing their trash in the receptacles provided.

  6. Bicycles are prohibited beyond the main gate.  A bike rack is located by the front check in desk for your conenience.
  7. Prohibited items include but not limited to: Squirt guns, drones, underwater cameras, hoverboards and skateboards.

 

MEMBERS ARE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ACTIONS OF THEIR CHILDREN AND GUESTS IN THIS REGARD.

ANNUAL DUES PAYMENT SCHEDULE

 

Members with a balance of $0 paid by April 15th will be considered NOT returning or forfeited. If they decide to return at a later date – they will be added to the wait list and when accepted must make all payments current to the schedule below including late fees.  If there is no wait list an additional $25.00 reactivation fee will be assessed.
